With the desire to continue its local and responsible sourcing efforts, Prana has been associated since 2020 with the Odysee farm led by Sébastien Angers. A local producer, Sébastien had the courage to do what no one had done before: grow organic pumpkin seeds on a large scale in Ste-Monique de Nicolet, Québec, according to the principles of regenerative agriculture. A first in North America!
The roles of the partnership are clear: the Odysee farm takes care of the agronomic validation and the cultivation of the seeds, while here at Prana we carry out the transformation of these seeds into a snack as well as their marketing. This project is therefore much more than just a delicious, crunchy, nutritious and protein-rich snack; it’s a way to source locally, build our food resilience and transform the way our food is grown.
So, every bite of Löka makes it possible to be part of a movement of consumers, farmers and businesses that are helping to reverse climate change and support local organic and regenerative farming communities.
Now that’s what we call a snack that gives back!

I first tasted these in March of 2021.
Back then I found them to be good but too salty for me, so I was mixing them with sweet stuff, like cranberries.
I'm not sure what's changed, but they aren't too salty anymore and now they just taste perfect on their own. =)
I seem to remember that the salt content was slightly higher, like 15% and now it's 13%. But whatever the case may be, they're now a winner for me.
I loooooove pumpkin seeds. These are not only tasty and amazingly crunchy and delicious but they are grown right here in Quebec, in fertile, richly nourished regenerative soil and they overflow with goodness and flavor! By the way for my Keto pals, the perfect salad topper and grab and go snack!!! Get them while you can!!!
